To set how an attachment will export to your document, click on the Layout tab of the Edit Attachment dialogue. You will see a drop-down menu to select the Page Style used for the attachment. The Page Style is setup in the layout template and sets the page size, page orientation, the header and footer, and page margins that can be applied to your attachment. Under Options, you can select and deselect what elements your attachment will use from the selected Page Style.
- Use Page Size from Page Style
This option controls the page size and orientation of your attachment. By default, the page size and orientation of the selected Page Style will be applied to your attachment. You will see that information in parentheses after the Page Style name.
Let’s say you are attaching a file that contains some pages in A4 portrait and a few pages in A3 landscape. Under Page Style, you have selected a Letter Landscape style. Leaving the Use Page Size from Page Style option selected, the attachment will export all pages in Letter Landscape. Deselecting Use Page Size from Page Style will export the attachment with the A3 landscape and A4 portrait pages.
- Use Header and Footer from Page Style
This option allows you to place the header and footer frames available in the selected Page Style onto your exported attachment.
- Use Page Margins from Page Style
This option will scale your attachment to fit in between the margins of the selected Page Style. Applying the page margins from the Page Style will help ensure that no header and footer frames overlap with content in the attachment.
Click OK on the Edit Attachment dialogue to save any changes you have made.
